Hummus time! I’m very excited to share this fantastic recipe with you guys. This 5-minute, 10-ingredient hummus is a new twist on old classic: Turmeric Hummus. This recipe is totally easy and is the perfect way to spice up your lunchtime routine without stepping anywhere near a stove. Just look at this color – it’s absolutely incredible! Brighten up any buddha bowl, salad, or avocado toast by adding a big dollup of this beautiful hummus right on top.
Turmeric, a natural die, is not only gorgeous in food, but is also absolutely amazing for you. This spice has an enormous amount of anti-inflammatory compounds, nutrients, and antioxidants and has been shown to help fight cancer. It’s even been known to help aid digestion and improve cardiovascular health! Nature loves alerting us to amazing foods through their bright colors. The brighter the better! Think about how much you hear about turmeric, raspberries, cranberries, pomegranates – all super bright superfoods!
Hummus is just about the easiest thing in the world to make at home and can save you a ton of money if you’re someone like me who loves high-quality hummus. All you need is a strong blender (a Ninja blender or Vitamix will do well) or a food processor and a few simple ingredients. I swear, you’re going to get addicted after you make your own hummus for the first time. This recipe has a wonderful earthy spice to it with a mild hint of garlic and the turmeric really does make you feel like you’re getting a mini detox in your day. Enjoy!
